ABOUT


Founded in 2025, ANAM CARA is a New York–based jade jewelry brand created by two graphic designers Cindy Hou and Isabella Qiao, together with their friends Yuki Qiu and Kaylee Zhao. As a proudly women-owned brand, ANAM CARA reimagines traditional jade through a modern, soulful lens. Each piece is handcrafted in small batches using natural, untreated jade — no two stones are exactly alike. We collaborate closely with artisans to create jewelry that holds not only quiet beauty, but also memory, intention, and meaning.

“I am the founder and designer of ANAM CARA. I personally oversee the design and creative direction of every piece, and I work closely with my father, a master jade artist in China, to design each jade stone based on its quality, texture, and energy. We produce all of our jewelry in-house, while my father hand-carves the jade, I am deeply involved in the selection, evaluation, and creative refinement process to ensure that each piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and aligns with the brand’s spirit.” — CINDY HOU
